BIOMUTANT® is an open-world, post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG, with a unique martial arts styled combat system allowing you to mix melee, shooting and mutant ability action. First of all, I would like to say that the basis of this game is a superbly designed open world. The same cannot be said about the quests and plot. The game has a very nice crafting system and a fairly large set of different techniques that can diversify the gameplay. However, after finding certain weapons, the complexity of the game drops sharply and it becomes no longer so interesting to fight and explore the environment. Gameplay is rather simple, you have one button for shooting, one for melee and a dodge. You can make a few combo’s using a special button but outside of that you really do the same thing from start to finish. There is a rudimentary “magic” system with a few mutation and PSI powers. They both do roughly the same thing and a few focus more on movement then combat.
