Test your plane, complete missions, and earn money. You’ll need to haul different cargo types, each with unique requirements, so plan your trips carefully and avoid running out of fuel. Research new parts and improve your designs to fly farther, faster, and carry more cargo. Upgrade your plane to handle bigger missions and explore new areas. I had a lot of fun with this. It’s very arcadey and relaxing but not so easy that it’s boring. I’m happy that this isn’t one of the many engineering games that require you to make horrible abominations to progress; you can make aesthetically pleasing designs that are also functional.

The premise of Aviassembly is gloriously simple: slap some wings on a thing, fly it around, deliver some cargo (medicine, batteries, inexplicably perishable fruit), make cash and scrap, then upgrade your monstrosity of a plane and repeat. It’s part courier service, part aviation experiment, and part banana crisis management simulator. Aviassembly is a very solid tiny indy cozy game about building planes to fly delivery missions, apparently by a single developer. At first, it contains fairly simply missions – just pick up something here and move it over there, but the scale of the world is such that you skip all of the tedious middle part of each flight, so you get to focus on take-off, landing, and fuel management.  Football Life Simulator
