On behalf of the king, you must build thriving cities, discover and develop new resources and goods, and protect your wealth from cheeky bandits. However, the pricing system needs serious work. For example, tools sell for less than the materials needed to make them, making production unprofitable. Auto trade struggles to balance prices. Maps are fixed (not procedural), only 4 cities can be built at the beginning, the tech tree is very basic, and traders are too slow—especially across long distances. Faster transport like trains or planes would be great in the future.
The game is complex enough to keep you entertained for a few hours. The robber mechanic alone seems immature and out of place. It serves no purpose, is never truly threatening, and is simply annoying. What can I say about this game? In short: It’s simply brilliantly made! It focuses on the essentials, namely trading, and does so in a very easy-to-follow manner. Beautiful graphics, great music, and a catchy gameplay. Killing Floor 3
