Despite the popularity of Kashou Minaduki’s patisserie, “La Soleil”, his father continues to disapprove of it. Seeing how troubled Kashou was, Shigure offers up a suggestion as a change of pace. A hot springs trip with Chocola, Vanilla and the other catpanions. After coming from vol 3, “MY EYES, MY EYES” it’s too cute from the start and they change the whole layout of the shop. Also we can see Kashou face more than ever and the mother is lovely. The one thing is shocking is the ending chapters, wow what an unexpected twist they showcase in it. What a journey of seeing all the parts and extras and I highly recommend all the parts, if you want sugar in your mouth all the time while watching this.

I love how NEKOPARA Vol. 4 connects all the previous volumes and explains why the protagonist’s father has been so strict. The events from earlier stories tie together nicely, including the protagonist’s trip to France to learn patisserie. The heartwarming moments between the protagonist and the catpanions are lovely, with each character’s unique traits shining through. I first played this series on the Switch and thought it was a cute rom-com with silly anime tropes, just a visual novel with cute cat girls.
