The Easter eggs are funny in a “I understood that reference” kind of way but very easy to miss, I didn’t find them all. The “escape room” portion of the game felt even harder to figure out. In the end the gameplay just wasn’t engaging enough for me to feel compelled to find every single easter egg or figure out every secret to get a good ending. I’m a sucker for pixel art games so I was immediately drawn to this and I have to say that it delivers in that regard. The art style is a vibe, and some of the humor is pretty great. The one button mechanic is interesting and most of the smaller puzzles in the Atari style portion of the game were pretty darn clever.
