Astro Prospector is an incremental bullet hell about mining cofferoids and fighting the evil SpaceCorp. Collect resources, upgrade your ship and become unstoppable. Mine cofferoids from SpaceCorp’s fields and steal their AstroCoffee seeds. Explore and upgrade the skill tree to increase your ship power. Enemy Machines will try to stop you. Dodge their bullets and destroy them. F*ck SpaceCorp! Absolute banger! Very much a “just one more run” game – quick runs, interesting and meaningful progression, great and clear visual design. But I think most importantly – the controls are great; they’re just so responsive, including the boosting, making this so satisfying to navigate around everything and dodge. I played this way back in the beginning when it was just a preview or demo—it’s come a long way since then! Really enjoyed it. I was kind of hoping for a prestige-style system after completing it—something that lets you restart and work through the skill tree again, but with a twist. Like unlocking new meta-perks that change the game mechanics a bit, such as needing fewer flow rings to get an extra laser or similar bonuses. Would love to see something like that added down the road!
