Explore the seemingly infinite expanse of eerily familiar levels in the backrooms based on the popular creepypasta lore. Each level features different ways to escape with danger along the way. Realistic graphics, minimal user interfaces, and dreary ambience will ensure an immersive experience. I really like this game. At first I thought the quality was a bit low but after playing for longer with friends I realized how creative the game actually is, I love how this emulates all the lore connected to the backrooms with the different levels. Some of the entities are bit buggy but it’s funny. I recommend this game for horror fans! Not story based but overall a really fun play. This game is an absolute blast to play. My husband and I have been playing it non stop and while the game has a little jank to it (especially on steam deck) what is does is NAIL the horror and suspense. TEKKEN 8

Every level feels totally different with some of the iconic back room levels we’ve seen before mixed in with some fantastic new levels that still have that haunting lonely feel to it. Also have to mention that the puzzles a so fun to figure out and feel so different from zine to zone I picked up Escape the Backrooms with 2 of my friends as a silly little indie horror game we could play together – As time went on I came to see just how detailed and creative the game was. The game is simple yet such a unique experience. It’s filled with such a range of levels, entities, puzzles and so many diverse maps to accompany it all. Some levels were on the simple side compared to others but even then they were all still enjoyable.
