Funko Fusion is a third-person action game that’s all about celebrating fandom. Play with some of your favorite characters from across TV, movies, games, and comics, and explore handcrafted worlds inspired by Jurassic World, Back to the Future, JAWS, The Thing, Chucky, Battlestar Galactica, Hot Fuzz, The Umbrella Academy, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Masters of the Universe, Invincible, and many more! This game has more in common with Zelda Majora’s Mask and DK64, than with Lego games. Think of the levels of this game as Zelda-like environments maps where you would suddenly find a hook-shot target or a button to press with the Goron mask, and you would have to come back once you had unlocked the gadget or the mask. Each world gives you a different gadget and teaches you how to use it, just like a Zelda dungeon would. Caravan SandWitch

But then you are free to explore the worlds to find clues to more “bananas”, and collect all sorts of items to 100% the levels. Puzzles are really challenging, forcing you to think and to pay attention to your surroundings. The problem for me was some of the main missions in the Thing and Scott Pilgrim that were too repetitive and easy. But honestly it’s still the most fully released, pleasantly playable game at launch that I’ve played in a while. Dev’s have also already mentioned that post-launch patches will be coming. Ignore the negative reviews tbh. If you’re an average gamer sick of endless grinds, sweats, and just looking to experience the chill vibes of your favorite old school lego games you’ll enjoy it.
