Guidus Zero is a real-time grid-based roguelike game where you navigate the field in four directions. Pay close attention to the positions of enemies and their attack ranges. Time your moves precisely to dodge all enemy attacks and aim for a no-hit clear. This game is solid. It has a story, impressive art, a great soundtrack, and a decent amount of replayability. One standout feature is how the higher difficulty actually changes the gameplay. It’s not just inflated enemy HP and damage. Somehow hiding enemies intentions with higher difficulty makes things clearer and thus easier.
I can see where the current negative reviews come from, however if we are talking about the game as a whole it is a definite recommend to any one who likes pixel rpg games. It just took me like half an hour to get used to the grid system since im so used to omni directional movement. Refreshing shop with run currency (black blood) would be nice since you often have excess amount of currency, and shop often sells stuff that you dont really need like keys, and shield (and potion if you’re really good), priotizing relics is better in my opinion.
