MY SUMMER CAR is the ultimate car owning, building, fixing, tuning, maintenance AND permadeath life survival simulator. You start the game with hundreds of loose parts and assemble both car and engine. Not only you need to maintain your car, but yourself as well. Sausages, beer and sleeping will do just fine. This game is what makes games great. It might not be the best for some people, especially because there’s no tutorial, but that’s what makes this game different from others. The PS1 like graphics are just a part of the game, its identity. The absence of a tutorial makes the game feel more real, not just look more real. There’s so little AAA Game Studio and so much Passionate Side Project about this, that it makes the whole game much more enjoyable. Built a engine, Timed it wrong, Fixed Engine, Engine puts rod thru block, Replace block and rebuild engine, Drive car in rally, crash into tree at 120 KPH, Lose windshield and take wasp to the face and die.
