In addition to an improved network battle experience, the new Simple mode option allows players to more easily perform various ninjutsu combos. Whether players are beginners or experts, everyone can enjoy heated battles with their favorite ninjas.

The history mode is pretty mediocre, as it’s just a bunch of battles with slideshows in between, but the special story mode is pretty good, and has the kind of writing I would expect from a filler movie. The combat is slightly different from storm 4, as they’ve removed tilts and replaced it with a second jutsu button, and the chakra bar now automatically regenerates. Didn’t let me down this time either, great animations, cool gameplay and a fantastic story mode with an incredible special story that really got to me.
