As investigative journalist Miles Upshur, explore Mount Massive Asylum and try to survive long enough to discover its terrible secret… if you dare. I was gifted this game by my lovely boyfriend in search of finding horror games that freak me out. I had no experience with outlast, never watched full game play, only faintly knew of the characters. I was worried going in because I despise being chased and knew that was a big aspect in this game, along with having limited visibility with the night vision camera.
It took me quite a bit to get past the first chase at the beginning where you turn on the generator, but soon after I was able to recognize when chase scenes were coming up and getting into the groove on how to work through them. I enjoyed piecing together what went wrong at Mount Massive Asylum and seeing the horrors the Murkoff Corporation inflicted on the patients. It was intriguing to see how docile some were, while others were more hostile, chasing you down and hurting the other patients. The visuals were great and the integration of night vision was unique, it was a great way to build suspense and keep you anticipating on who was gonna stumble in to try to kill you. Spirit Mancer
