Slay the Spire Free Download
We fused card games and roguelikes together to make the best single player deckbuilder we could. Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, discover relics of immense power, and Slay the Spire! I really like that I can take my time on my turns, read my cards and think. I also like the artwork and the overall story. The game always surprises me how much fun it is when I play again, and it really draws me into the gameplay. The game can seem intimidating to start, and winning is HARD but making the stakes high somehow makes it even more fun to play! I also play the board game, and having the scoring, calculating and housekeeping handled by the video game also helps smooth out the gameplay and pulls me deeper into the story.
Every deck type, every enemy encounter, every card new addition; they all present interesting decision points for the player that keep the game interesting long after you’ve seen it all. I can’t begin to imagine how difficult it was to make so many different moving parts of the course of a run fit in together, but they managed it somehow. I have over 200 hours between multiple devices in Slay the Spire and yet I’m only knee deep with how far this game can go. If you’ve not played a roguelike deckbuilder before, I can’t think of a better place to start. Ravenfield
