The game is a huge improvement in the style introduced by SRW 30, with stages actually crossing over series much more than previously. Terrain bonuses actually matter again, which hasn’t been the case for nearly a decade of the series. This is the best Super Robot Wars game of the international era. The story is genuinely great with well-done, fitting character interactions and series connections, and the gameplay is a fair bit harder than the past few games without being overwhelming.
